EROSKI has reinforced its Supplier Support Program during the last fiscal year 2025, reaching a total of 4,500 hours of training in environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters, provided through collaboration with local agri-food clusters and the Global Compact. Within the framework of this program, the cooperative has already diagnosed 394 suppliers, who have received an individualized report with their differential aspects and areas of improvement, thus consolidating an initiative aimed at strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of the productive fabric of their environment.

The Accompaniment Program is one of the main initiatives of EROSKI to promote a model of responsible collaboration with its suppliers, especially small agri-food producers. Through this initiative, the cooperative offers practical tools and specialized training that allow companies to advance in key areas such as reducing environmental impact, process efficiency, responsible management or adaptation to new regulatory requirements.

During 2025, in addition to the face-to-face and online training sessions, EROSKI has reinforced the dissemination of knowledge through quarterly newsletters addressed to its suppliers, through which more than 90 training initiatives available in the different territories have been shared.

The increase in the hours of training given, which reach 4,500, reflects the commitment of the cooperative company to go beyond diagnosis and move towards an effective, structured and continuous accompaniment, facilitating that its suppliers integrate sustainability as a strategic axis of its activity.

Territorial implementation and collaboration with the local ecosystem

The deployment of the Program is articulated in a differentiated way in each territory, adapting the training roadmap to the needs detected in the supplier companies. Thus, we already have 103 suppliers diagnosed in the Basque Country, where the initiative was born in 2022, 181 companies in the field of VEGALSA-EROSKI in Galicia; and 55 in Navarra and Aragón, respectively. Training actions, specialized training and quarterly newsletters are shared with all local supplier companies in each territory, reinforcing sustainability throughout the value chain.

The collaboration with agri-food clusters has allowed the development of specialized content in areas such as carbon footprint, eco-packaging design, circular economy, climate governance or adaptation to new regulations on food waste and sustainable reporting. Thus, EROSKI has reinforced its role as a tractor company in collective initiatives such as the PROALIS and PROALIS CARBON programs developed together with Clusaga in Galicia, the FoodESG project with the Basque Food Cluster in the Basque Country or the training program on sustainability for the agri-food sector of NAGRIFOOD in Navarra, aimed at facilitating training and practical tools for management and reporting on sustainability.

In Aragón, the cooperative has taken an additional step through an agreement with the Association of Food Industries of Aragón to promote new training actions throughout 2026, thus consolidating a model of continuous accompaniment and aligned with the real needs of the value chain.
