EROSKI presents the thirteenth edition of ‘MideSmiles’, in favor of 14 associations to help children

EROSKI has launched today to Palma the thirteenth edition of its solidarity campaign ‘MideSmiles’, an initiative that aims to support fourteen social projects aimed at improving the quality of life of children and vulnerable groups in the Balearic Islands.

With this year’s slogan ‘Thank you for making solidarity measurable ⦅%0020%0020⦆ in happiness’, the campaign reaches all EROSKI supermarkets in the Balearic Islands with three collectible regles-calendar, designed in the spirit of ‘measuring smiles’.

These rules, which can be bought in the EROSLI establishments for a donation of 1 euro, are a symbol of collaboration and solidarity to continue adding efforts for the benefit of children. These are multifunctional rules that, in addition to measuring smiles, serve as a calendar and as a book point.

Among the initiatives that will benefit from this year’s campaign, there are projects to support children and girls who receive palliative cures -and their families-; initiatives to offer activities that promote social relationships and emotional competencies of young people between 18 and 25 years with a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis and the improvement, adequacy and signaling of a sports track, a fundamental space for the development of physical, recreational and socializing activities.

During the presentation, the head of Institutional Relations of EROSKI, Joana Manresa, highlighted the extraordinary work that associations do, and reaffirmed the desire of EROSKI to continue supporting ‘MideSmiles’: “Our commitment to these entities is an ongoing commitment to the welfare of children. Every year we are excited to see the solidarity response of the citizens. It is a demonstration that, by adding small gestures, we can generate great changes.”

In addition to Joana Manresa, the campaign’s presentation was attended by representatives of the fourteen beneficiary children’s aid associations: ABAIMAR, ABDEM, ACCAB, ADIBA, ASNIMO, ASPACE, ASPANOB, Centro Mater Misericordiae, Dentists on Wheels, DISFAM, Fundación Nemo, Fundación Respiralia, Project Together and Medical Smile.
