EROSKI will open tomorrow a new supermarket at number 13 on General Gallarza Street, in La Rioja. The establishment, which will operate under the EROSKI/City teaching, will have a sales room of 901 square meters.

This opening has resulted in the creation of 28 jobs. The staff has received close to 480 hours of training with the aim of offering better solutions to customers and deepening the self-management of the own teams of professionals working in store.

His commitment to saving has its maximum exponent in EROSKI Club, the loyalty program aimed at its Client Partners that offers very attractive promotions, in addition to all the advantages of the Travel Club program, and which in La Rioja has more than 94,800 members and partners.

 

Great protagonism of fresh local products

EROSKI collaborates with more than 155 small agri-food producers in La Rioja, whose products have outstanding spaces in their stores in all sections. Among its hallmarks is also the commitment to personalized customer service with the incorporation of counters in the butcher’s, charcuterie and fishmonger’s sections.

Dietary and biological products also have their place in the new supermarket, with spaces that group all the new food trends. In addition, this section is completed with a wide range of specific products for food intolerances (gluten, lactose, etc.) or products suitable for a diet low in fat, sugar or salt.

 

More efficient and sustainable

It is also a more environmentally sustainable establishment. This new store model incorporates improvements in air conditioning, industrial cold generation and lighting. Thus, the use of more efficient and less polluting refrigerants, the closing of cold furniture or the use of LED lighting are just some of the innovations applied that allow minimizing the environmental impact of the establishment, in addition to favoring a more pleasant light and temperatures for customers. EROSKI’s new generation stores are more eco-efficient and implement energy efficiency measures that reduce their energy consumption compared to a conventional supermarket.

 

EROSKI in La Rioja

As a whole, EROSKI collaborates in La Rioja with around 155 suppliers, with a volume of purchases of 68 million euros and markets more than 1,100 products in the region. The commercial network of EROSKI in the Community of La Rioja reaches 21 establishments between grocery stores and gas stations, in addition to the online supermarket.

Official opening ceremony this afternoon

Although the new supermarket will open on November 27 from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., EROSKI workers, family members and Customer Partners will open the establishment this afternoon at 6 p.m. They will be accompanied by the Mayor of Calahorro, Mónica Arcéiz; the General Director of Employment of the Government of La Rioja, Cristina Salinas; the Councillor of Urbanism of the City of Calahorro, Antonio Mazo; the Director of Marketing of the Federation of Companies of La Rioja (FER), Chema Losantos; and the Director of Supermarkets and Processes of EROSKI, Alberto Madariaga, as well as representatives of EROSKI.
