EROSKI opens a new franchised supermarket in Oiartzun, Gipuzkoa

EROSKI has opened a new supermarket at number 1 of Arraskuelarre Street, in the municipality of Oiartzun (Gipuzkoa). The establishment, with the EROSKI/City teaching, offers personalized customer service, a strong commitment to local and fresh seasonal products with more than 2,600 references, the promotion of healthy eating and new ways to save on daily shopping. The property has a staff of 5 people.

The new supermarket has a wide assortment of products from leading manufacturers, own brands and local producers in its 152 square meters of sales room. It also has a wide range of fresh foods, especially seasonal local fruits and vegetables, and healthy references gain weight with a wide assortment of organic products. In addition, the property also offers freshly baked bakery and pastries to ensure maximum freshness to its customers.

The offers and promotions will take place every month to promote the savings of consumers. A bet on savings that has its maximum exponent in EROSKI Club, the loyalty program of the Client-Partners with the brand, which offers very attractive promotions, in addition to all the advantages of the Travel Club program. More than 272,000 consumers are members of the cooperative’s customers and already enjoy the advantages of EROSKI Club in the province of Gipuzkoa.

 

It opens 46 franchises in 2025

EROSKI opened 46 franchises in 2025, with a global investment of more than 9 million euros and the creation of 276 new jobs. This expansion, added to the transformation of its own store network, reinforces the momentum of the ‘Contigo’ business model that characterizes EROSKI establishments.

EROSKI maintains the momentum of its franchise model by consolidating a network that exceeds 600 franchised establishments throughout Spain. Throughout the year 2026, the company plans to open more than 50 new franchises, thus continuing the expansion of its network with a strategic focus in Catalonia, the Basque Country, Andalusia, Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, the Balearic Islands, Galicia and Levante, in line with its strategy of sustainable growth and proximity.

 

Awarded in prestigious awards

EROSKI received the award for the best franchise in the category ‘Supermarket Franchises’ in the awards ‘Trade of the Year 2025-2026’. These recognitions are granted by consumers in the largest consumer contest in Spain and one of the largest market studies in the retail sector.

EROSKI has also received the Award for the “Franchise with Best Trajectory” in the edition held in 2024 in the Salon FrankiNorte of Vitoria and awarded by the Spanish Association of Franchisors (AEF).

Likewise, one of the EROSKI franchisees was recognized as the ‘Best Franchisee of the Year’ in the food category, also by the AEF. This award highlights its daily work and how it personifies the values with which EROSKI understands the franchise, reflecting the effort in training and continuous advice to franchisees. These differentiating values are successfully transferred to the entire network, backed by a strong marketing plan for EROSKI franchises.

 

Agreements of collaboration

The cooperative maintains its collaboration agreement with the Spanish Confederation of Associations of Young Entrepreneurs (CEAJE) to support and promote entrepreneurship among young entrepreneurs and the self-employed. In addition to reinforcing its commitment to the entrepreneur, EROSKI seeks to contribute to the development of the local economy in the different autonomous communities.
