With the help of the Ministry of Work and Social Economy, the “Promotion of the Digital Transformation in the Social Economy (Promo-TIC-Social)” project is aimed at Promoting the Digital Transformation and Modernization of a Grouping of 11 Cooperatives via technological inter-cooperation and joint training as a way to face the ICT developments that are beyond the individual capacity of each of them, and to tackle the digitalization of process and management areas that have been “orphaned” due to the lack of critical mass or the isolation of said cooperatives.

The “Promo-TIC-Social” Project has a relevant social and collaborative profile, as can be seen in the following purposes and characteristics of the Project:

  • Cooperation and Inter-cooperation between the companies participating in the project.
  • Digital transformation: we mean to establish a collaborative and joint roadmap towards a reality of cooperative businesses, processes, and jobs interwoven with digitalization.
  • Tackling management and process areas that have been “orphaned” because they have not been digitalized.  The “Promo-TIC-Social” Project therefore proposes for this area:
    • The pooling of purchasing power Cooperatives have so that they can be competitive in purchasing activities in the global market.
    • To that end, shared experience among the ICT applications laid out in the Project, among others, will be promoted so that they are shared and, in some specific cases, joint uses of the same may be developed.
    • Sharing the learning, training, and spreading of best practices of the ITC applications set out in the project, including:
      • The Cooperatives that are participating in the Grouping.
      • The Cooperatives that wish to implement similar applications.
      • Sharing of information and knowledge with other Social Economy entities.
  • Promoting the collaborative innovation of the Cooperatives in the Grouping with the aim of this serving as a catalyst for competitiveness and for new economic and social development opportunities.
  • Promoting businesses with a future, to evolve towards activities with greater added value and profitability over time by searching for innovative digital solutions that allow for the modernization of the Cooperatives participating in the Grouping.
  • Development of a Smart Social Economy, supported on a foundation of development of an economy based on knowledge and innovation.
  • Increasing the diversity of the supply of the Cooperatives in the Grouping as regards competition, and improving the image and brand recognition with advanced functions that confer technological prestige.
  • Social transformation and Commitment to sustainable development in solidarity with our environment.
  • Integrating: increasing an economy with a high level of employment that provides social and territorial cohesion by Promoting “Inclusive Competitiveness.”

MOST RELEVANT FUNCTIONAL INNOVATIONS.

The “Promo-TIC-Social” Project provides the following relevant technological innovations:

  • The “Promo-TIC-Social” Project lays out its own, specific road map for smart digitalization for the Grouping of Cooperatives, understood to be the process of innovation and change in the organization derived from the integration of digital technologies and services, creating horizontal value networks with a strategic scope.  To that end, the digitalization road map will be developed by the Grouping of Cooperatives, taking into consideration its own path or route towards digitalization.
  • The “Promo-TIC-Social” Project will allow for the establishment of a smart digitalization strategy for the Grouping of Cooperatives to Industry 4.0.  Indeed, the “Promo-TIC-Social” Project will be developed by taking the hybrid paradigm (Lean Manufacturing + Digitalization 4.0) as a base as an innovation and change process in the organization derived from the integration of digital services and technologies, in order to increase flexibility, implement make-to-order production, and provide advanced support of information technologies within the manufacturing scope of the Grouping of Cooperatives.
  • The “Promo-TIC-Social” Project constitutes an innovative focus for business transformation by optimizing management processes as well as adopting intensive digital media in all aspects of our company.
  • The “Promo-TIC-Social” Project meets the challenge of technological and functional integration between the heterogeneous systems now found in the management, production, and logistical systems at the Grouping of Cooperatives.  “Promo-TIC-Social” will enable horizontal integration and the integration of data from beginning to end via the vertical integration of data.  In some specific cases, such advances in integration will extend into the scope of Big Industrial Data.
